Day-Wilde, Monique

Monique Day-Wilde studied textile design and later specialised in weaving, completing several prize-winning designs and commissions. She lectured in textiles and graphic design and compiled official training courses in weaving and spinning. She has been teaching painting techniques for many years and has her own range of craft designs sold at many craft outlets. Angie Franke trained as a teacher but has always been passionate about arts and crafts. She teaches several disciplines from her studio at home, drawing on her wide range of interest and experiences. She also works on commissions in Liturgical Art and develops projects as an interior/exterior designer at a garden centre. Monique and Angie have been friends all their lives. Despite living in different parts of the country they stay in touch, always sharing knowledge and experience and encouraging each other where not much has been available to study. Both really enjoy teaching and working with people, becoming part of their process of self-discovery through their creative expression.
