It’s old news that women can multitask, but that a cluster of them can do so simultaneously...

As we speak, at each of our respective studies from Edgemead to Welgemoed to doer anderkant in Baardskeerdersbos, we all are sipping cappuccinos, inhaling chocolate muffins, checking our blogs and patting ourselves on the back, all whilst jumping up and down with super silly grins on our faces.
And I think we’re justified being smug;

Fact Finder was very much a group undertaking; Wilsia Metz is not just a publisher par excellence – she’s very much an author in her own right.  She edits, translates effortlessly to Afrikaans, and just generally makes a writer look so, so much better.

Our esteemed boss, Lindie Metz is the Queen of Organising Stuff, and without Her we would not have a book to brag about. At all.
Designer, Liezl Maree is simply a goddess.  There are no better superlatives for this creative genius.  I still have to pinch myself when I pick up this book to believe that I’m associated with such fabulousness.

The amazing artist, Nikki Miles, created breath-taking illies – one after another – like a veritable graphic machine – and she just keps getting better and better.  I would never – ever - consider doing a book without her!

I think it’s safe to say I love these women. And without them we would not have been able to pull together such a fantastic book.
Thanks then to Jay Heale who has recognized it as one of the top children’s books by selecting it as one of the Bookchat Books of the Year 2011.

But best of all, we are all about to embark on the next journey together, First Fact Finder – which will be on the shelves for the back-to-school sales in January 2013.
