Monique Day-Wilde is a well-known artist from Pringle Bay on the Western Cape coast known for its abundance of indigenous flora. She is truly inspired by the colours, patterns and even abstract qualities that flowers offer and these flowers were the inspiration of her designs for this adult colouring-in book. Growing up surrounded by her grandfather’s floral watercolour studies, and helping her florist grandmother wire flowers at a very young age, it was probably inevitable that a lot of her work will have a floral theme. The designs in many of the 10 books she has authored and co-authored include flowers, and it is the theme of her recently published Water Marks. Monique enjoys teaching and working with people, following their journey of self-discovery through creative expression. In addition to teaching and working on commissions, she offers art retreats in Pringle Bay.
